The Tenn-Share Spring Mini-Conference is a new event for the consortium in 2021. The event focuses on skill-sharing among members and a limited session venue of product and discount offerings from sponsoring vendors. The goal of the event is to provide year-round engagement with member libraries of all types.
The Tenn-Share DataFest is a free vendor fair and conference held each year. The 2020 event was the first virtual meeting of DataFest, and the DataFest Committee approved a second virtual meeting for 2021.
Each year's DataFest Committee meets in the late spring and summer to determine the "hot" areas in digital resources, library services, and other areas. A number of themes are developed, and vendors are invited to present certain products and potential discount groups to Tenn-Share members.
The DataFest Committee strives to offer our members several resources in the same category or subject area for comparison purposes. We also attempt to appeal to all our membership types (academic, public, school, and special). Vendors are encouraged to identify their member interest areas in consultation with the committee.
School Library Collection Fair was suspended for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. School library vendors are being encouraged to participate in the 2021 virtual DataFest.
The School Library Collection Fair invites all of your favorite vendors, publishers and database distributors that serve the school library market. The fair is free to attend but registration is encouraged. Breakfast and an afternoon snack will be provided; lunch is on your own. School librarians from across Tennessee are welcome.
Tenn-Share hosts a Fall Conference every year, focusing on resource-sharing opportunities for all types of libraries.
