2011 Conference Information and Registration

Tenn-Share Delivers Is Conference Theme

The Conference theme of Tenn-Share Delivers reflects the latest Tenn-Share initiative: a statewide courier for interlibrary loans (ILL). In the General Session, David Atkins will report on the results of the Request For Proposal process.

This emphasis on interlibrary loan brings Tenn-Share back to its roots (an early benefit of Tenn-Share membership was group access to OCLC for ILL). One breakout session will focus on getting started with ILL for libraries that currently do not offer the service. Another session will cover some recent developments in the tools and methods of modern ILL service.

Perceptions of Libraries, 2010 is Conference Keynote Topic

OCLC''s Perceptions of Libraries, 2010: Context and Community will be the topic of keynote speaker Eric Forte at Tenn-Share's Fall Conference Friday, October 28, at Nashville Public Library.

OCLC's newest membership report, Perceptions of Libraries, 2010, a sequel to the 2005 Perceptions of Libraries and Information Resources, provides updated information and new insights into information consumers and their online habits, preferences, and perceptions. Particular attention was paid to how the current economic downturn has affected the information-seeking behaviors and how those changes are reflected in the use and perception of libraries.
