It's been so long since I've contacted you all! There is a new member list on the Firefly page. There are a few changes in gold, and remember that changes must be made manually in your account. I'm running out of colors, but the gold I refer to can be seen in the record for Marie Ellison Memorial Library, which had a change in email addresses.

Hello everyone. Greetings from Tenn-Share. If your library is closed for Good Friday, please be sure your courier contact knows. The biggest announcement is that we now have a Firefly issues form so you don't have to remember who to contact when you need a resolution, from dates your library will be closed, to buying bags, to lost passwords, to driver no-shows, to compliments and complaints to Tenn-Share. http://www.tenn-share.org/firefly/reportissues. Once again, I thank you for all of your suggestions, kudos and complaints. We welcome Oak Ridge Public Library to Firefly! Please note that Oak Ridge will need to be added manually to your list. The contact information is on the spreadsheet, and changes this week are in gray - http://www.tenn-share.org/firefly/members. It would be a good idea to check all the colored cells under contact fields (Library Name, Street Address, Contact Name, Contact Email) which indicate changes that may be important to you.

Firefly start delayed to Oct. 1 & Glowworm extended |

Glowworm, our temporary courier service, will need at least one more month of life, continuing thru September. This pushes our earliest start date for Firefly to October 1. We plan to contract with the Tennessee State Library and Archives and the State of Tennessee to expand the courier to include the state's public libraries by then.
We’ll use the Firefly listserv to keep everyone up to date. (Want to join the listserv? Email Jodie Gambill.) We apologize for any problems this delay will create.

Register with Tenn-Share and we'll include your library in our discussions with possible courier vendors. Registrants will be added to our courier maps and spreadsheets for information purposes only. Vendors will use these to devise service options and price quotes. You are not obligated to join the courier. However, by registering, you're telling Tenn-Share you are interested in participating and willing to be part of any future discussions.

Request for Proposal: Library Materials Delivery Service in Tennessee |

Tenn-Share, consortium of libraries in Tennessee, is seeking proposals from prospective vendors to provide delivery of library materials between approximately 326 academic, public, and school libraries located throughout the state of Tennessee using regularly scheduled routes.
Materials that will be delivered include (but are not limited to): books, CDs, DVDs, cassettes, videotapes, equipment, printed matter and other items.

Do libraries in Tennessee need a state-wide courier service? Do libraries in Tennessee want a state-wide courier service? What do you think? These are questions Tenn-Share wants to know.
To this end, Tenn-Share is surveying all members to determine our state’s need for a state-wide, library-to-library courier service. Results will help us explore options for library courier services.

By the end of the summer, Tennessee will have a statewide library courier service. After months of hard work, Tenn-Share’s RFP Committee selected RR Donnelley as our winning courier vendor.
Called Firefly, this Tenn-Share courier will provide 2 days a week service for all participating libraries. We do not have the final price yet as that will be determined by the total number of libraries who join the initial July-September implementation. Currently, we estimate each participant's cost to be between $1,400-$1,500 a year for 2 days a week service. There will also be options... |

The brand new Tenn-Share courier service hatches this week as Glowworm, maturing into Firefly in September when the network will grow to about 200 libraries or more.
