Volunteer Voices

Volunteer Voices was initiated by Tenn-Share "to preserve and share Tennessee history and culture" by providing online access to primary resources found in libraries, museums, historical societies and archives across the state.
Lead by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Volunteer Voices: The Growth of Democracy in Tennessee is now a grant project funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Services that will allow K-12 educators and students, as well as the general public, free online access to a variety of primary, or first hand, sources related to Tennessee’s history, culture, government, and industry.
The work of Volunteer Voices is coordinated through the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and supported by Tenn-Share and an advisory board of representatives from museums, archives and historical societies in the state.
