Report to the Board: Winter 2010 (February 4, 2010)

Tenn-Share Web Committee

Co-Chairs: Wendy Cornelisen, Jodie Gambill

Domain name registration renewal is due in April. Fee can be paid by check to Network Solutions. Pricing varies based on length of renewal. The Website Committee recommends a renewal rate of 5 years for $22.99/yr.

All committee chairs are now included in the board@tenn-share.org email list.

Highlights:

  • 18,630 visits
  • 10,621 unique visitors
  • 59,664 pageviews
  • most visited page (other than homepage):  Databases  (just edged out TEL!)
  • top traffic source:  Google

Usage peaks with Tenn-Share events and Database Newsletter postings. 

We also:

  • Made updates to site content as requested, and assisted others in doing so as well.
  • Enabled comments and comment moderation to make it possible for members to interact further on the site.
  • Implemented a way to upload selected files to a private directory so that we can post sensitive files in a more secure fashion.
  • Ran security and feature updates for both Drupal core and our installed modules.
