The Nominating Committee called for nominations for the Tennessee Resource Sharing Award by email posting to TLA-L and the Tenn-Share listserv. Nominations were open for three weeks, and three nominations were submitted. One of the three nominations was for the kind of activity that the award was intended to recognize, but only one member of the committee felt strongly that the nominee rose to the level of significant achievement called for. The committee failed to reach consensus or majority in favor of naming a winner, and the committee relies on precedent to skip naming a winner for 2015.
Nominations are now being accepted for board terms that will come open in January 2016, and we hope to have a slate of candidates soon. The committee asks current directors and officers to talk to your peers and nominate them.
